WireSock Secure Connect - 3.4.8.1

Release date: 2026-05-27

We are excited to announce the release of WireSock Secure Connect SDK 3.4.8.1

This release includes stability improvements, memory optimizations, and bug fixes.

What's New

Version 3.4.8.1

Fixes & Improvements
  • Reduced process memory footprint through improved garbage collection settings
  • Hardened tunnel lifecycle management to improve reliability during connection changes
  • Prevented ThreadPool starvation caused by blocking operations in gRPC named pipe handling
  • Fixed WPF render thread crash (UCEERR_RENDERTHREADFAILURE)
  • Fixed app shutdown crash (InvalidOperationException on closing)
  • Fixed startup failure when TEMP/TMP environment variables point to an invalid path
  • Fixed file/folder browse dialog failures caused by Shell COM errors
  • Fixed crash when Windows API shell library (WindowsAPICodePack.Shell.dll) is missing
  • Fixed race conditions in logger and cancellation token disposal
  • Fixed license activation bug in the app service
  • Fixed installer rollback issues: kernel driver installation failures no longer roll back the entire setup
  • Fixed "Terms of service" text
  • Improved system tooltip behavior

Major Features and Improvements for version 3.x

1. New Architecture
  • A dedicated separated layer for better performance and security isolation.
  • A UI client for connection control, settings configuration, and profile management. The VPN connection operates independently of the UI: the UI client can be fully closed while the connection remains active.
  • Support for establishing the VPN connection during Windows startup, before user logon.
  • The Virtual Adapter Mode and TCP Socket Termination settings no longer require running the application with administrator privileges.
2. KillSwitch (Network Lock)
  • KillSwitch can be configured to block all traffic when the VPN connection is lost, preventing any data leaks.
3. Global Split Tunneling Settings
  • Split tunneling can now be configured once globally and applied to all profiles in the application.
4. New DPI Protection Options
  • Added advanced DPI protection using QUIC and DNS packet emulation.

  • AmneziaWG 2.0 support* for enhanced stealth connectivity and bypassing network restrictions.

  • DPI protection can be configured either globally or individually per profile.

    * Note: Standard AWG 1.5 I1–I5 parameters are not supported. WireSock uses its own method for configuring simulation settings in both the configuration file and the UI. See Documentation

5. New User Interface for Creating and Editing Profiles
  • Supports editing profiles in a text-based format.
6. New Command-Line Interface (CLI)
  • Introduced a new command-line interface supporting core commands: connect, disconnect, import, export, and delete profile.
  • The CLI enables full operation of the application without the UI.
7. New Language Support
  • Arabic
  • Portuguese
  • Korean
  • Vietnamese
  • Bangla (Bangladesh)
  • Bangla (India)
  • Hindi
  • Indonesian
  • Urdu
  • Amharic
  • Afaan Oromo
