Compatibility and Performance
Advanced system-level options. Changing these settings may affect application stability or behavior and is recommended only for experienced users.
Run as administrator
- Run the app with elevated privileges (as administrator). This may be required to tunnel or exclude traffic from apps running under a different user account (e.g., system processes).
Boost process priority
- If CPU-intensive applications are running, WireSock Secure Connect may not get enough processing time to handle network traffic reliably. This can lead to reduced bandwidth, connection drops, delays, or frequent reconnects. Raising WireSock Secure Connect's process priority gives it more CPU resources, improving connection stability and performance—but may affect the performance of other apps.
NOTE
Please use this option only when necessary. Increasing the application's priority may negatively impact the performance of other applications and the operating system as a whole.
Enable hardware acceleration for UI
- UI hardware acceleration shifts rendering from the CPU to the GPU, improving performance and visual quality. However, it may increase memory usage and can interfere with GPU switching on some systems.
Enable App Diagnostic Reporting
- Allow the application to collect diagnostic data, including crash information.
All diagnostic data is fully anonymized and cannot be traced back to individual users (we do not store which user submitted the data, and we do not store user IP addresses).
NOTE
This setting does not apply to WireSock Secure Connect Pro. Application analytics are not collected in the Pro version.
Application View Customization
This setting allows you to customize the application appearance by enabling or disabling specific controls, settings pages, and connection information displayed by the application.
NOTE
This section applies only to the Pro version of the application.
