ProxRoute by WireSock

ProxRoute

Route your traffic. Your way.

Advanced proxy routing for Windows. Route as many applications as you need at the same time — each with its own rules, its own proxy or its own chain of proxies — while everything else keeps the direct connection.

ProxRoute is the commercial edition of ProxiFyre, our open-source proxy routing tool for Windows. Release date and pricing are not announced yet.

Use cases

Give every app its own route
Route one application or dozens at the same time, each with its own rules and its own proxy. Everything else keeps the direct connection — no system-wide VPN, no broken local services.
Build a multi-hop route
Chain several proxies together to reach the exit point you need.
Reach a regional service
Give a specific app an exit in another region without changing the routing of the whole machine.
Test from different exit points
Run several applications through different proxies side by side for QA and testing.

What ProxRoute adds over ProxiFyre

ProxiFyre stays free and open source under AGPL-3.0. ProxRoute is the commercial edition, with the routing, diagnostics and operations features a commercial deployment needs.

Desktop application
ProxiFyre is a console application and a Windows service configured by hand-editing app-config.json. ProxRoute adds a desktop GUI with a live connection table and a config editor.
Explainable routing
Every connection can tell you why it went where it did — which rule matched, and in what order loopback, LAN bypass, rules and the default were evaluated.
Rule engine
ProxiFyre matches on application name or path. ProxRoute adds destination matching — domain, IP or CIDR, port and protocol — combined with any/all/not predicates, regular expressions, rule groups and time windows. A rule can proxy, chain, allow direct or block.
WFP driver core
ProxiFyre filters packets through NDISAPI. ProxRoute redirects flows in Windows Filtering Platform, binding each connection to its originating process in the kernel — which is what makes per-connection explanation and destination rules possible.
Proxy chains
ProxiFyre can send different applications to different proxies, but every flow takes a single hop. ProxRoute chains proxies with failover, round-robin and latency-aware selection, backed by health checks.
Proxy protocols
Adds SOCKS4/4a and HTTP and HTTPS CONNECT alongside SOCKS5 and SOCKS5-over-TLS, with Basic and Digest authentication in addition to user/password.
DNS control
Local, proxy and fake-IP modes with remote resolution through the proxy and leak prevention, so domain rules match at the moment the connection is made.
Fail-closed kill switch
An opt-in kernel-level block floor: if the engine goes down, traffic stops instead of silently leaking out over the direct connection.
Live monitoring and diagnostics
A live connection table with per-connection detail, and an IPv6 leak policy that can block IPv6 for proxied applications rather than letting it race past the proxy.
Windows service and management CLI
Both run as a Windows service. ProxRoute adds a management CLI for live status, the connection table, config validation and reload without a restart.
Commercial license and support
AGPL-3.0 requires you to publish source for modified versions you distribute or expose over a network. The ProxRoute license removes that obligation for embedding, redistribution and OEM use, with commercial support behind it.
